The Periodicals Room is located on the main level of the library. Periodicals collections are housed in both the main and lower levels of the library:

Current Year Print Periodicals : On display shelves in the reading area of Periodicals Room on the Main level.

Print periodicals 1996 to present: Main level in the Periodicals Room.

Print periodicals 1995 and older: Lower Level in the Government Documents Department.

Microform back issues: Main level in the Periodicals Room.

Newspapers: Main level in the Periodicals Room at the end of the shelves by the windows.

All periodicals are arranged alphabetically by titles. They do not circulate. The Periodicals Room is open 89 hours per week during normal library hours.

Our journals subscriptions are curriculum-related. New journals are added or cancelled based upon the recommendations of faculty. Periodicals and other serials owned by the Stockton Library are listed in DRA, the online catalog. In DRA, it is possible to search by Journal Title and to limit search results by format (i.e. serials). The annually updated and printed Periodicals Holdings List provides an additional convenient way of locating periodicals information for users. For periodicals not listed in DRA or the Periodicals Holdings List, consult the staff at the Information Desk for interlibrary loan requests.

There are 15 current newspapers on display in the Periodicals Reading Room. Back issues of these are either on microfilm or shelved at the end of the regular periodicals shelves by the windows. Information on the location and holdings of newspapers can be obtained from DRA or the Periodicals Holdings List.

The Periodicals staff includes Kerry Chang FitzGibbon, the Serials Librarian, Kathie Ricciardi, Principal Library Assistant, and Joyce Quintelli, Senior Library Assistant, and a student assistant.
