Community Policing

The Richard Stockton Police Department is dedicated to the philosophy of community policing and embraces the concept of working with our community to resolve issues.  We offer many safety lectures and programs to our community and are available upon request.  We maintain a community police office in G223 in the main academic building, X4761.  Some of the programs we offer include:

Rape Aggression Defense (RAD)
Identity Theft Prevention
Walk Safe
Fire safety
Sexual Assault Awareness
Internet Safety

Motor Vehicle Safety
Residential-Campus Life Safety
Drug and Alcohol Awareness

We will also customize programs for your needs.  Simply contact us and we will work with you to service your need.

Bicycle Patrol:
Sgt. Cindy Parker is the Bicycle Patrol Coordinator.  She is a certified bicycle patrol trainer, and is responsible for the training of our officers in the tactics and safety of patrolling on a bicycle.  We have four mountain bikes in our inventory and nearly half the officers in our department are certified bicycle patrol officers.  We regularly patrol the campus on bicycle, covering the many areas a motor vehicle can not access.  Should you need any additional information on our bicycle patrol program, contact Officer Parker.
