The College follows the requirements of the NJ Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services (http://www.state.nj.us/treasury/revenue/rms/recman.shtml) for all records retention and disposition schedules; research and development policies on electronic records; aid in the inventory and appraisal of records for reorganization or disposition projects; and approval routine records disposal requests. The Division has established a schedule for Four Year Colleges which can be viewed at: http://www.state.nj.us/state/darm/pdf/s510000.pdf or by clicking on the following Schedule: S510000-001+
All requests for authorization for disposal are processed through the College's Department of Risk Management, Environment/Health/Safety (RMEHS). The process starts with obtaining an original 4 part REQUEST AND AUTHORIZATION FOR RECORDS DISPOSAL from RMEHS, completing the form following the instructions on this PDF sample, and returning the form to RMEHS. RMEHS will review, execute and submit the form to the Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services (DRES)for approval. RMEHS will forward the final DRES approval to the respective departments' once it is obtained.
