Beth Olsen
Director of Grants Development
Ms. Olsen has worked in pre-award grants administration for a number of years, building the groundwork and infrastructure for a grants office in Academic Affairs.
In doing this, Beth is involved in every aspect of grant-seeking from writing and editing to developing budgets, procedures and policies. She also has responsibilities for the IRB and other compliance issues, and coordinates all internal award programs. As an advocate for faculty development and institutional growth, Beth has a very hands-on approach to promoting grant-seeking, viewing grants as opportunities for change.
Beyond these duties and responsibilities, Beth was among the founding members of the New Jersey Higher Education Service Learning Consortium and has been the unofficial founder of service-learning at Stockton since the program began. She is currently on the National Advisory Board for AASCU's Grants Resource Center.
Beth graduated from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland with a Master of Letters degree in Mental Philosophy. She and husband of four decades have two daughters. An avid cook and, if truth be known, Beth would rather be camping and kayaking than sitting at the computer.
